The Matterhorn Views
The elevated southwest orientation offers a vantage point to watch the changing seasons and light across the valley. From the comfort of the sofas, the panoramic window frames an unobstructed view of the Matterhorn and Zermatt village. Looking across the rooftops reveals Zermatt Church, the historic Grand Hotel Zermatterhof and the illuminated cross. Distant mountain stations and huts dot the alpine landscape. In spring, the acoustic performances of the Zermatt Unplugged festival bring a unique energy to the valley.
The Zermatt Views
Framed through the bedroom and kitchen windows, these western vistas look onto the mountain range serving as a spine for the village. Catching the sun from early morning through to evening, these slopes melt first, revealing a high-contrast terrain of exposed rock, waterfalls and alpine forests. High above, the historic Edelweiss hut sits perched on the sheer cliffs, before the mountain range finishes at the foot of the Matterhorn.
The Sunrise & Sunset Views
From the dawn of first light, a soft white glow illuminates the summit before pink and yellow sunrays work their way down the peak and extend across the village rooftops.
As the sun drops behind the western ridges, the valley plunges into shade while the Matterhorn catches the final rays.
